How do I get Sky Arts?
Sky Arts is currently only available via Sky digital. It is broadcast on Sky digital channel 267, in the 'Style and Culture' section. You do not pay an individual channel subscription for Sky Arts - it comes as part of the Style & Culture package's mix of channels. For more information on how to get Sky digital, call 08705 800 874, or visit www.sky.com.

Does Sky Arts also broadcast in High Definition?
Sky Arts HD is just next door, on sky channel number 268 and those programmes that we have in HD can be viewed there in all their super-sharp audio/visual glory if you have a sky HD box. Call 08705 800 874 if you'd like to upgrade to HD. For more info about HD click here.

Where can I find Sky Arts' programme listings?
Full updated listings for the coming week are carried on this website; click the TV Guide button on the menu (far left) - including the option to print out a Word document version of it - refreshed every Wednesday afternoon for Thurs-Wed listings.
You can also find our listings in various print publications, including: The Times, Saturday Times (The Knowledge); Daily Telegraph; The Guardian; The Guardian Guide; Independent Information; Daily Mail Weekend; Radio Times; Total TV Guide; What Satellite & Digital TV.

Can I get tapes/DVDs of your programmes?
Unfortunately, Sky Arts cannot supply tapes of any of its programmes to the public because of licensing issues. However, it's always worth searching the internet as it may be available via another route. We also have a small but growing number of our programmes available on a download-to-own basis in our Videostore.
For episodes of The Book Show, you can watch our extensive back catalogue here.

What does the 'HD' logo on the website mean?
The 'HD' logo on programme information pages and in the listings indicates that that particular programme is broadcast at the same time in high definition on Sky Arts channel 268, for those viewers with a high definition screen and a high definition Sky box (subscription applies).

Technical problems
If you are having any technical problems with your Sky box, call the Sky technical helpline on 08442 41 14 11.

How do I find out detailed information about a programme?
Our printed listings in the publications listed above are restricted by space. If you have internet access, it's best to consult the TV schedules on this website. They provide extensive details about all our programmes - concert programme listings, casts, artists and so on. Our website's SEARCH box (top right) can be used to find pages for Sky Arts' programmes, including those broadcast in the past.

What happened to the Artsworld magazine?
As of January 2007, we decided to stop publishing our bi-monthly highlights guide. We did this for two reasons: not publishing and posting the free magazine allows us to devote much more time and money to making the website that you're on, skyarts.co.uk bigger, better and more useful, and secondly (but no less importantly) we'll be saving a few trees in the process.

I have a good idea for a programme or I'm a TV production company/programme distributor. Who in Sky Arts should I be speaking to?
Sky Arts is not looking for more one-off documentaries right now but series shot in HD will be of interest to us.
For acquisitions enquiries, please email Adrian Zak (adrian.zak@bskyb.com).
For programme proposals, please email John Cassy (john.cassy@bskyb.com) but please note that in both cases only relevant communications will be acknowledged.
