Documentary following the vibrant artistic world of London's East End
The East End of London has the highest concentration of artists per square mile of anywhere in Europe. Hoxton Square, Shoreditch and Bethnal Green are as teeming with creatives as Paris's fin-de-siècle rive gauche.
Once a year, many of these artists, designers and makers open their studios to the public and exhibit their work as part of the exhibition Hidden Art.
This observational documentary follows six of them as they prepare for Hidden Art - and promotes the very best in East End design. They include abstract artist Lou Sexty (who helped a painter and decorator become a visual artist for a TV show called Faking It; Jamie Gutch, a mobile sculptor similar to Calder; Rehana Hussain, a Bengali artist; Mandee Gage, a ceramicist; and Janet Brooke, a print maker.
