In September 1995, John Myatt was arrested by Scotland Yard detectives for his part in what has been described as the biggest art fraud of the 20th century. But after serving less than four months in prison for his part in the crime, Myatt's commissioned portraits and 'genuine fakes' are now worth thousands in their own right.
In this six-part series, Myatt will use his talent for mimicking famous artists to paint portraits of celebrities, including John Cleese, David Bailey, Jane Horrocks, Robin Gibb and Ian Brown, in the styles of the greats, from Cézanne to Van Gogh. The first celebrity to have their portrait painted is TV talent and socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, who is captured in the style of Modigliani.
Myatt acts not only as artist but as interviewer in this intriguing six part series. Tara Palmer-Tomkinson talks about ‘that kiss’ with Prince Charles, whilst legendary photographer David Bailey reminisces about photographing Princess Diana and offers his controversial opinion on her looks.
Offering a fascinating insight into the process of portraiture, Myatt also explores the individual technique of each iconic painter and highlights why his choice of artist is so appropriate to the subjects.

“See the series on Wednesdays at 7pm, Sky Arts 1 and Sky Arts HD” but why can’t they tell us the date when each individual programme is on? I can’t find that information anywhere. It’s not really a series, like a drama series, where if you miss one, you lose the thread, it’s a set of linked programmes. I want to see two of them but as I can’t find out when those two are on, I probably won’t bother. Do they really assume we will watch – or record – every programme, just to get to see the ones we are interested in?

Various spheres of our life take lots of efforts, thus why have we to expend free time for business term paper accomplishing? It is better to utilize a classification essay writing service to buy the expository essay from, I opine.
