Dominique Khalfouni - nicknamed "ma Pavlova" by great French choreographer Roland Petit - joins the Marseilles Ballet to perform Petit's stunning choreography tribute to both dancers
Frenchman Roland Petit, born in 1924, is one of the great choreographers of the 20th century, who combines traditional grace and artistry with modern passion and 'relevance'.
This is Petit's stunning 1986 tribute to two great dancers for Marseilles Ballet, to music by Saint-Saëns, Chopin, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Minkus, Satie, Beethoven, Massenet and Berlioz. The work was conceived for, and is performed by, Dominique Khalfouni, whom Petit calls "my Pavlova".
