Sky Arts and English National Ballet

English National Ballet is current holder of the Critics’ Circle Outstanding Company award, reinforcing its reputation as one of the world’s great ballet companies, performing West End productions in cities across the UK and the world. The Company has 67 dancers and a live symphony orchestra. English National Ballet makes ballet relevant for today’s audiences.

English National Ballet has been sponsored by Sky since 2003 and Sky Arts has been National Tour sponsor since 2007. English National Ballet tours across the UK throughout the year, with major tours taking place in spring and autumn. The Company tours across England and Wales including Manchester, Southampton, Oxford, Bristol with a Christmas Season at the London Coliseum.

In 2009 English National Ballet will tour the UK with Giselle, presented alongside new choreography Men Y Men. Giselle opens in Manchester on 23 September and then tours the UK in October and November before arriving in London in January. To open the performances the male dancers of the Company will present the World Premiere of Men Y Men choreographed by Wayne Eagling Showcasing the very best male talent the Company has to offer. Men Y Men adds an exhilarating twist to the National Tour, offering inspirational new work across the UK at a price everyone can afford. Watch a film clip of Giselle here
