Shot a year after the 9/11 attacks, Martin Parr - the man behind the Boring Postcards books - went to the small town of Boring in Oregon to ask locals about the anniversary, and more controversially, to ask them why they think some people don't like Americans...
Martin Parr is an internationally-renowned artist, photojournalist and documentary-maker known for his innovative images, humour and oblique approach to social documentary. A member of Magnum since 1994, he has expanded his areas of interest in recent years, exploring fashion and advertising photography, as well as film-making.
