Madame Tutli-Putli Tops Festival

A short animated film about a woman who takes a train trip, wowed the critics at the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival
Madame Tutli-Putli, the winner of Best Animated Short at the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival, will be eligible for an Oscar nomination in 2008. The festival is accredited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, making the film eligible to run for an Academy Award next year. The short, by Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski, also won two short film awards at Cannes.
Other festival wins included Jorgen Hjerdt's It's My Turn Now for Audience Choice, Farewell Packets of Ten by Ken Wardrop received the accolade for Best Documentary Short, while Michael Dreher's Fair Trade won the special jury distinction.
