What a great show.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I would like to know when it will be re-shown as I have just discovered that I have deleted the recording.  Bah!

What I find so bizarre is that, although it was the same company that filmed Procol Harum at the Union Chapel, the DVD is a Region 1 only.  Why, why, why?  OK, there were the Drifters, but everyone else was British - among the best of our rock stars - and it was a charity concert held in Surrey.... Bizarre!

Band du Lac is actually Gary Brooker’s occaisional wandering band - coming together on rare occasions to perform charity concerts. For Sky to bill this as Clapton & guests does a great dis-service to the admirable Mr Brooker, especially when Clapton was actually a guest on this performance.

I agree with Chris.
I recorded it thinking it was Clapton and was at first disappointed when I started to watch it however by the end of the programme I was more than happy it wasn’t.
Ringo was the star!!!!!!
Excuse the pun

Saw the concert on Sky Arts HD and was blown away with the picture quality and sound. Like a few other folks I deleted it by accident. Found the DVD at Tesco Entertainment, region 0, and for the price (approx £8) it’s too good to miss. Can we have some more Band Du Lac please?

What a refreshing change to see an all-Brit’ lineup with real stars and not a conglommeration of manufactured stage artists. It’s easy to wax lyrical about the early rock & roll years and say who the ground breakers where but this show provides real evidence of who these frount runners were and their longeivity is testimony to their talent.

Andy Fairweatherlow is a real talent and understated showman too.

Have attended two earlier Concerts by the lale, a couple of ‘no stiletto heels’ charity gigs in Chiddingfold and Dunsfold and the Countryside Rocks at Highclere. I doubt if anyone could assemble a finer gathering of of some of our greatest artists. Gary Brooker, You are fantastic!!!

Nice to see some people realising the fact that Gary Brooker is the music organizer and has always put those great artists toghether. Check out live concert 4th June 2011 at:

Flicking through the channels looking for something half decent to watch and there it was Band Du Lac. I don’t know what it is but the music just doesn’t seem to age. Classic stuff, hats off to Gary Brooker for putting all these class musicians together....bring back the days.
