i love the idea of the basement, but where oh where are these acts from. Can’t play, can’t sing, can’t write. i’ve just watches the opening two artist on sunday morning who would be knackered if you took their echo unit off them.
Don’t stop though

What was the name of the young 5 piece band with the girl singer/guitarist, violinist and keyboard with boy bass and drums? It’s just a song - excellent.

The Stooges were great. Did you realise you included a tiny sneak peak of the song “God Is Dead” which hasn’t even been played live yet? I would be increadlibly appreciative if you could upload the video of this little 20-30 second bit.
I have also heard that there was an interveiw with Iggy Pop but this did not appear on the final cut, will it be released?
Also did The Stooges play any other songs apart from the 4 shown?
Finally, thank you for such a brilliant show. The Fall were great too and I can’t wait to see Radiohead and Seasick Steve.

Hi Sky Arts Team
I’m a new subsciber to the channel and was wondering if you would be repeating From The Basement Series 1 & 2 in 2009. It’s a fantastic show.
Thanks.

“What was the name of the young 5 piece band with the girl singer/guitarist, violinist and keyboard with boy bass and drums?”
They were ace!

I’m with Joe and Dave here - please tell us who the young 5 piece band are.
In th basement is a great format and a refreshing change from the usual music-vid MTV type format - my only suggestion for improvement would be that name of the band is shown and that the tv listings show the full list of bands. Keep up the good work!

As to the query above - I loved that very young five-piece band too - I looked them up on From the Basement’s own website - they’re called Operator Please, and they’re from Australia.
