Ah, 1970. The summer was long and hot, the Isle of Wight was the place to be and The Who were Britain's biggest band. 600,000 fans witnessed arguably rock's greatest live band appear at the third Isle of Wight Festival on August 30, 1970. Performing their own music and some other classics, including Summertime Blues, My Generation, I Don't Know Myself,Water and many others, The Who brought the audience to its feet, ending in a dramatic climax of a medley of songs from Tommy.
If you weren't there (or even if you were, but perhaps weren't there in body, in that special Seventies kind of way,)this concert takes you back to witness one of the greatest performances in rock history, but this time remixed and re-mastered by Pete Townsend so that it looks and sounds better than ever, no matter how rose-tinted your memories might be.
