R.E.M. Road Movie
R.E.M in a blistering concert
Performers
R.E.M.:
Bill Berry (drums)
Mike Mills (bass)
Peter Buck (guitar)
Michael Stipe (vocals)
Formed in 1980, R.E.M. are one of the few alternative rock groups to have survived the 1980s intact and flourished in the 1990s, emerging today one of the most popular and acclaimed bands of their genre. Indeed, their success has been such that the band found themselves able to put forth political and environmental concerns from within an area of the arts and entertainment industry that traditionally eschews such stands.
Famed for Peter Buck's distinctive jangle and Michael Stipe's cryptic lyrics, this mean, moody, dark and magnificent concert was filmed during the band's 1995 Monster Tour at the Omni Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Tracks include then-new songs such as Wake Up Bomb, Revolution and Undertow as well as classics including Losing My Religion, Man On The Moon, Everybody Hurts, Country Feedback, Orange Crush, Star 69 and Binky The Doormat.
