The jazz-folk guitarist in concert in Berlin
Illinois-born soul singer who retired from his successful twenty-year-old singing career in the 80s to become a computer programmer at the University of Chicago. He achieved cult status however, when acid jazz DJs Gilles Peterson and Russ Dewbury revived dancefloor interest in Callier's music as part of the Northern Soul revival in the early 1990s, which drew him back into performing in Europe. A fantastic and increasingly rare concert by a jazz icon which is a must-see for all jazz and soul fans.
