A simple but delightful film: for an hour, the delightful young Russian pianist Valentina Igoshina plays a selection of Chopin's best-loved works.

She also talks in between pieces about the challenges of rewards of Chopin's music from the pianist's point of view.

Directed by Tony Palmer, the film sets the scene perfectly, with a salon setting and period costume.
