Mahler: I Have Lost Touch with the World is a revealing documentary based on Mahler's 9th Symphony. In the four parts of this film, renowned conductor Riccardo Chailly and Mahler's internationally acclaimed biographer, Henry-Louis de la Grange, analyse the four movements of the symphony. And there are very few people more qualified: musicologist Henry-Louis de La Grange spent some years on his epic biography of Mahler and Chailly dedicated himself to the work of Mahler when appointed chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (KCO) - he led the 1995 Mahler Festival that celebrated the 100th anniversary of Mahler's first concert at the Concertgebouw.
