Hello Montreal...long time no see. You wanna get crazy? The late, great Freddie Mercury is in spectacular form in this 1981 concert, filmed live in front of 18,000 adoring fans at Montreal's Forum.
Following their record-breaking South American tour, the Montreal shows in November, 1981, were to be the only concerts by Queen ever shot on film; indeed they were the first group to shoot an entire show in full cinematic format. Recorded on November 24th and 28th 1981 - exactly ten years to the day of Freddie Mercury's death - Queen Rock Montreal confirms Mercury's reputation as the consummate showman through a flamboyant, outrageous and, most of all, entertaining showcase of music.
Available in high definition for the first time, the concert has been digitally restored from the original 35mm negative. Featuring Freddie, Brian, Roger and John blasting through hits including We Will Rock You, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody and We Are The Champions, the show also notably saw Under Pressure being performed live for the first time.
