Al Green started performing aged just nine, and went on to become one of America's biggest soul and gospel stars with albums such as Al Green Gets Next to You, Let's Stay Together and I'm Still In Love With You providing critical and commercial success throughout the 1970s. In 1974, following the suicide of his girlfriend, his already-deep faith was reinforced and he became an ordained pastor of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Memphis. This acclaimed film, made in 1984 features Green discussing his life, career and faith, both in perofromance and in conversation. A must-see for all soul fans.
