The legendary soundtrack composer and Academy Award -winner Ennio Morricone, treats a captivated audience to some of his most beloved compositions in this live Venice concert filmed at the Piazza San Marco in 2007.

The Italian composer’s long artistic career took off when he composed the soundtracks for A Fistful of Dollars, Once Upon A Time In The West and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Since 1960, Ennio has created the scores for over 400 films and worked with a  range of first-class directors from Brian De Palma and Warren Beatty to Roman Polanski and Pedro Almodovar. He has received quite a haul of awards for his ingenious work: 3 Golden Globes, 5 Baftas, 8 Nastri d’ARgento and a Grammy Award among many others.

Ennio’s work has never been restricted to film work. He has conducted many orchestras around the world. In his Venice concert, he conducts the Roma Sinfonietta at the glorious Piazza San Marco with the help of soprano Susanna Rigacci and Coro Polifonico del Teatro La Fenice choir and treats us to his fantastic treasure trove of musical gems.
