An enchanting evening from 4 of the greatest singers of our time
On the evening of 3 August 2007, the stage of the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden was lit up by four of the greatest singers of our time.
In an evening of beloved operatic numbers, the striking Russian soprano Anna Netrebko, charismatic mezzo Elina Garanca, Caruso Prize-winning tenor Ramón Vargas and world-renowned baritone Ludovic Tezier formed a quartet radiating unbound style, talent and charisma.
Under experienced opera conductor Marco Armiliato, the orchestra of the SWR Baden-Baden lent support throughout a number of Italian arias and beautiful renditions of the romantic masters, including O Soave Fanciulla from La Bohème and the quartet Bella Figlia Dell’Amore from Rigoletto. Five encores underpin the incredible degree to which this fabulous quartet captivated the crowd, in a delightfully enchanting evening of entertainment.

What a treat and such a good programme, not forgetting the French opera arias and duets! Anna Netrebko was in her usual bubbly self with song and dance, and the teasing! The four voices made up a superb ensemble.

My Father watched the concert from Barden Barden last night and enjoyed it so much that I would love to get the DVD for him. Any ideas where I can find it please?

I would like to obtain a DVD of the Baden Baden concert also the Michael Crawford programme which came on earlier. It was a great evening`s TV.

What a magnificent concert. I have watched the concert three times and I have managed to obtain the sound track,but I would dearly like a DVD . Could you please let me kow where I can obtain it.
