It would be fanastic to see a modern Charles Dickens adaptation this winter on Sky Arts. May I suggest ‘Dombais et Fils’ directed by Laurent Jaoui and produced by France 3?
All the seasonal best

25 operas mentioned but what about ballet? Sky Arts seem to be continuing their policy of showing hardly any ballet. I can’t remember the last time they showed a full length ballet that had not already been screened many times. If they can show operas filmed at the Met what about ballet from La Scala, Sweden or Paris?
